Why get Sculptra Training? (For the competitive edge!)
December 02, 2024Sculptra® Aesthetic is very unique. Where dermal fillers add volume, Sculptra stimulates the body’s natural collagen production. This creates a natural, long-lasting improvement in appearance. So, if you want to offer Sculptra in your aesthetic medicine practice, what do you need to know?
Our one-day Sculptra® course is tailored to seasoned injectors.
Generally, you should have 1 year of injection experience. This can be any kind of injection. However, that year of experience should include 6 months of advanced injectable procedures. That means using neurotoxins like Botox and dermal filler. You should also be able to use injection techniques together for specific outcomes. That’s more common in lip enhancement procedures, where you have to balance the placement of different injections for a desired look.
If you don’t feel confident in your experience, don’t worry! We have courses to help with that.
Our Sculptra® course is available to:
- Physicians (MD & DO),
- Nurse Practitioners (NP),
- Physician Assistants (PA),
- and Dentists (DDS & DMD).
You’ll notice that Registered Nurses (RN) are absent. They can participate in our other courses (and we highly recommend them), but our sculptra® course requires someone who can prescribe medications.
Sculptra 101
Fillers simply “fill in” wrinkles. Neurotoxins like Botox remove wrinkles by binding to the nerve endings that connect to muscles. However, Sculptra is classified as a collagen stimulator.
The active ingredient is poly-L-lactic acid (PLLA). That’s a biocompatible and biodegradable synthetic substance. When injected, it triggers a controlled inflammatory response that stimulates new collagen production.
Gradually, over several months, the recipient will enjoy subtle, natural-looking improvements in their skin. Their wrinkles will fade and stay away for around 2-4 years.
That’s a simplification, of course. The training course will go into much more detail.
Why add Sculptra to your offerings?
Where do we begin?!
Safety Profile.
Sculptra has a strong safety profile. It does not require allergy testing or have as many potential complications as other injections. It reduces concerns for both you and your clients. Let them breathe easy.
Long-Lasting
Sculptra provides long-lasting results compared to many other dermal fillers. It can last anywhere from 2-4 years— significantly longer than traditional fillers.
Subtle, Natural-Looking
This subtlety attracts patients who want to enhance their appearance without dramatic, apparent changes. Some people feel like traditional aesthetic practices are too obvious. “You can see they had work done.” In our humble opinion, so what if they’ve had work done! What matters is that they’re comfortable in their own skin. And Sculptra offers a subtle way of feeling comfortable and confident in your own body.
Versatility
Sculptra is versatile and has multiple uses. Facial volume loss (cheeks, temples, chin), deep wrinkles and folds, and body contouring (buttocks, hips, arms, legs). However, our training course focuses on the face as that is the most popular area.
The real reason you should consider adding Sculptra is because it will give you a competitive advantage.
Broader client base, a unique offer many don’t have, and it can be combined with other treatments. Sculpt can potentially be combined with other aesthetic treatments like neuromodulators or laser procedures. Potentially offering comprehensive treatment plans (and a higher revenue per patient).
Are you ready to beat the competition?
Offer cutting-edge solutions for facial rejuvenation. Expand your treatment options and attract a broader client base.
