What is the Class Like?
We host intimate, all-day training courses. We limit our class size to eight attendees so you all can get the one-on-one attention you deserve. You’ll have plenty of opportunities to ask questions and receive detailed guidance from our expert instructors.
We recommend you have at least 6 months of experience with Botox and dermal fillers. If you don’t have that kind of experience, then our Introductory Botulinum Toxin and Dermal Filler Course can help.

What Are the Core Lessons?
Microannulas Vs. Needles:
You are used to administering with traditional hypodermic needles. Microcannulas are just an innovative version of needles. They have a thin, flexible, blunt-tipped cannula, which makes it less likely to bruise.
Traditionally, Botox injections run the risk of puncturing blood vessels. However, microcannulas reduce the risk of bruising, swelling, and even the more serious complications like vascular occlusion.
Microannulas’ flexibility empowers you to smoothly inject in delicate, sensitive areas like the tear trough, neck, and midface.
For example, cannulas allow for the broad, even distribution of product. This is great for treatments like neck rejuvenation because you need fewer entry points. Which in turn reduces downtime.
Microannulas vs. Needles… one’s not necessarily better than the other. They are just similar tools with different applications.
Layer Techniques:
Layering is exactly what it sounds like. Administering injections across different depths and planes grants you more control over the finished appearance. There are several diverse layering techniques, such as linear threading, retrograde injection, radial fanning, and cross-hatching.
Armed with these techniques, you can distribute filler more evenly for subtle, natural enhancements. You can inject deeper, restoring the underlying structure. Or you can inject higher to smooth out fine lines.

What can You Achieve when You Combine These Techniques?
Tear troughs are the areas under the eyes susceptible to wrinkles. These spots are very sensitive, but microcannulas can reduce the chance of bruising. Tear troughs are also susceptible to discoloration immediately after injections. So, they might look gray or blue for a little while after, but this effect fades with time. However, layering gives you more control over the injection, helping prevent that discoloration.
