Focused Sclerotherapy Training

This one-day course introduces licensed healthcare professionals to sclerotherapy for uncomplicated spider veins and reticular veins of the legs.

Participants will:

Review venous anatomy, physiology, and common vein concerns
Discuss patient evaluation, indications, contraindications, and referral considerations
Learn sclerotherapy safety concepts, treatment planning, and complication awareness
Practice supervised client evaluation, treatment planning, and Asclera® injection technique

Didactic Sclerotherapy Education

The didactic portion provides an evidence-based review of key clinical concepts, including:

Venous disease, leg vein anatomy, and vein treatment goals
Spider veins, reticular veins, and when referral may be appropriate
Common sclerosants and sclerotherapy product considerations
Patient evaluation, documentation, indications, and contraindications
Injection technique, equipment, compression, and post-treatment care
Awareness and management of potential complications

Hands-On Clinical Training

During the hands-on portion of the course, participants gain supervised experience with client evaluation, treatment planning, consent review, venous assessment, and Asclera® injections.

Models, products, and supplies are provided by MedAesthetics during the hands-on training session. The product used for injections is Asclera®.

Pre-Course Preparation

Prior to the course date, attendees receive reference materials designed to support course preparation and clinical readiness.

Attendees receive an official Certificate of Training upon successful completion of the course.

Eligibility & Scope of Practice

Eligibility: This course is open to licensed medical professionals, including MD, DO, PA, NP, and RN.

Scope of Practice: This program provides education and hands-on training in sclerotherapy for uncomplicated spider veins and reticular veins of the legs. Each participant is responsible for verifying with their respective state licensing board that sclerotherapy falls within their scope of practice and for complying with all applicable laws and regulations.
