Question and Answer Session
What drew you to aesthetics and why is it your passion?
I think what drew me into aesthetics is the feeling I got when I have a happy patient. Helping a patient achieve a desired look or a new found confidence is priceless.
What is your favorite thing about instructing?
Keeps me on my game!! Also, I was initially shown how to inject filler very rough and the same way for each patient. It took years of self teaching and conferences to learn how to really complete a detailed aesthetics assessment of the whole face, neck and body. Education is the key to success…in aesthetics, and pretty much in life.
What is your favorite injectable product?
VOLUMA! game changer.
Is there a supply item that you HAVE to have?
My Puracyn Plus Cleanser. I don’t have to have-but love to use it – Lee Aspirators.
What are your top 3 methods to minimize risk and optimize your patient results?
- Aspirate Always!
- Don’t inject too much at once (ie- kybella, Botox, and filler), have them come back in 2 weeks to add more
- NEVER over correct, if anything under correct and you can always add more.
If you could give one piece of advise to someone just starting in aesthetics, what would it be?
TAKE A MEDAESTHETICS TRAINING COURSE! Then practice on everyone (even yourself). And then take the MedAesthetics advanced course! Attend at least 2 conferences a year.
