If you’re hesitant about becoming a MedAesthetic training model, read this.
January 02, 2025You deserve to feel confident and comfortable in your own skin. If you desire aesthetic medicine to boost your self-esteem and self-image, then go for it! It’s your body, your life, and your happiness.
But Botox and dermal filler can be expensive, posing a financial barrier between you and your happiness. MedAesthetic training models receive discounted treatments. But what’s the catch?
In truth, there is no catch. We need models so our trainees can get the hands-on experience they need to succeed. However, it is completely understandable to feel hesitant about receiving a discounted medical treatment.
By far, the biggest concern we hear from would-be models is fear of being “guinea pigs” for trainees.
This feeling is understandable, but it is not exactly realistic. You are not a guinea pig; you are a human being receiving a tested and FDA-approved medical treatment.
Secondly, our trainees are not unskilled people experimenting with medicine. They are registered nurses, licensed medical professionals, doctors, and dentists. They have years of experience with a wide range of medical procedures. However, in most states, they must perform an aesthetic medical procedure under supervision to be certified.
This is the first-try paradox. No one trusts an architect to build a house until they’ve already built one. So, how do they get that first project? Someone has to take that leap of faith.
All of our trainees are closely monitored by experienced instructors. So, even if something goes wrong (which is highly unlikely given our safety procedures), a seasoned professional is ready to resolve it.
We understand that being a model can be nerve-racking. At the training course, you will have the opportunity to review the treatment plan, ask any questions, and make any adjustments you want.
We, of course, want to be as transparent as possible to make everyone feel at ease. So before your procedure, you will receive a detailed Guide to Care explaining everything you need to know. You will also receive pre/post instructions outlining the guidelines.
Even with a complete understanding of the procedures, it is natural to still be nervous at the time of procedure. That is why we simulate client consultations in our training. It’s part of the training to answer your questions, remedy your anxieties, and make you comfortable.
You may have other concerns, like about the privacy policy and time commitment. We might tackle those in future blogs, so subscribe to our newsletter to stay up-to-date! But for now, let us direct you to our FAQ page.
They say we regret what we don’t do more than what we actually do. Don’t let fear prevent you from feeling comfortable in your own skin. We need models of all genders, ethnicities, and skin types. Register today or reach out with your questions.
