All about the All About Lips Masterclass: What you can expect from our training course
October 01, 2024Lip enhancements/augmentations are some of the most popular cosmetic procedures. As we age, lips are the first place we lose volume. However, we can employ a diverse array of techniques to give our clients their ideal lips.
Class Overview:
Our All About Lips Master class is a one-day course comprising an in-depth lecture and hands-on training. You’ll enjoy one-on-one time with our seasoned instructor and have the opportunity to ask your specific questions.
The training session teaches by doing. You’ll perform a client consultation, develop a treatment plan, and then perform that plan under instructor supervision.
Who is this class intended for?
- Physicians (MD & DO)
- Nurse Practitioners (NP)
- Registered Nurses (RN)
- Physician Assistants (PA)
- Dentists (DDS & DMD)
What techniques will you learn?
Lip Flip with Botox® or Xeomin®: uses those neuromodulators to relax the upper lip muscle, which makes it easier to manipulate. The “flip” creates a subtle outward roll of the upper lip, making it appear more voluptuous.
Filler Lip Flip: adds dermal filler with the Lip Flip technique, adding volume to the lifted lip. These generally last longer than the Lip Flip does on its own. (6-12 months compared to 3-4 months.)
Keyhole Pout: enhances lip shape by creating a small opening between the lips when relaxed. The keyhole pout is achieved by strategically injecting small amounts of dermal filler at specific points. It creates filler lips and also resembles the popular appearances of some celebrities.
Cupid’s Bow Lift: Cupid’s Bow is that central part of the upper lip, where it curves upwards, right under our nose. The lift enhances Cupid’s bow, elevating the peaks and giving a youthful look.
Vermillion Border Definition: helps with facial contouring by better defining the border between the lips and the surrounding skin.
Lip Body Volumization is an umbrella term for various cosmetic procedures that create fuller, plumper lips. We’ve already talked about injections and lifts. However, this customizable technique can use laser treatment to stimulate collagen production. Or it can involve lip implants, permanently plumping up lips.
Lip Tenting: involves injecting filler vertically into the lips for more pronounced volume.
Everyone’s different.
Every client will have a different desired look. You will learn which techniques are best for specific types of lips. Someone with naturally thin lips might opt for lip body volumization or the filler lip flip for fuller lips. Someone with flat, undefined lips would like the Cupid’s Bow lift or the keyhole pout. Someone combating aging lips should go for lip tenting or a special combination of techniques.
Most customer treatment plans will combine these techniques for optimal results. For example, you might combine Cupid’s Bow Lift with the Keyhole Pout to satisfy your client’s desired aesthetic.
What will set you apart from other practitioners…
How you assess your patient’s needs, facial anatomy, and desired outcome will set you apart from other practitioners. That unique skill can only be learned from experienced experts and your own hands-on training.
After successfully completing the course, you will receive an All About Lips Certification* with an official Certificate of Training.
*It’s important to note that the regulations for earning a certification vary from state to state. So, it is best to check in with your state’s licensing board. However, we’re here to provide accredited training courses so you can advance your career.
